Ginx snewx
We've been hearing that since T-giving..It'll be Dec 12 Sunday and other than an inch or 2 Friday..where is it? No you have been saying that. The chances for a torch Dec are gone and yet we have a cutter you are Tobin Bound, calm down.
dryslot
We've been hearing that since T-giving..It'll be Dec 12 Sunday and other than an inch or 2 Friday..where is it? I think the models are showing a snow storm @ day 10.........
Tropopause_Fold
Euro ensemble mean basically tracks it like the OP...over Watertown, NY. i'll be interested to see how it handles the core of lowest heights.
CoastalWx
It could be near 50 in Caribou and in the 20s in Jacksonville at the same time Monday morning.
Damage In Tolland
Euro ensemble mean basically tracks it like the OP...over Watertown, NY. Wasn't the op over DET?
cpickett79
i wish we could live this winter in day 10-14 of the models. We always look so good out there. I'm starting to think we are not "getting screwed" as much as we aren't understanding something is not as good as it looks.
moneypitmike
[moneypitmike]In 10 days ... forever[/moneypitmike] Say it ain't so.......................................... Cold day again. 23.0/7/
Ginx snewx
I know, I mean in general...those fun little events. We've been living in a world of atmospheric extremes for over a year. Nah too easy for you Pros I like this keeps you squirming. I expect this to be a fun filled wacked out winter with you Will and Phil pulling your pubes out in angst. CoastalWx
It looks like it's trying to develop a wave further south, after we torch. The mean has an elongated area of low pressure over the Cape and into Maine.
dryslot
It could be near 50 in Caribou and in the 20s in Jacksonville at the same time Monday morning. They will be out in the field up there in Caribou harvesting the Broccoli in shorts while they will be in snowmobile suits picking up drops of frozen oranges off the ground in Jacksonville......... ORH_wxman
Wasn't the op over DET? So are the ensembles...they both bring it from DTW to Watertown.
CoastalWx
It's trying hard to develop a wave east of sne. At hr 144 it "technically" has the low center near Eastport Maine, but an elongated area of low pressure exists for about 200-300 miles from nnw-sse. CoastalWx
I suppose such a crazy anomalous solution is not totally out of line, given the upper levels.

CoastalWx
It's not far off from the op run at all. Closed ULL sits right on top of us, with probably some sn or -sn for parts of eastern areas. This whole setup is just wild..lol.
cpickett79
Well now we have to toss the Euro ensembles too euro will shift tommorrow and then friday....either that or the UKIE will and the GFS will as well. the odds in vegas are now 4:1 in favor of the Euro the odds a 504 dm ULL goes underneath us day 6/7 are 10:1 ....the odds we get screwed in this whole set up 1:

Typhoon Tip
Well now we have to toss the Euro ensembles too I guess if one seeks illusion over despare - sure... haha. Basics of what is up: Every model has trend east, but only enough to still rain, with the most reliable model known to human technology the rainiest versus the UKMET and Kevin. CoastalWx
The euro ensembles verbatim are interesting, because the west building -nao block works in tandem with the ULL. What I mean is that while the ULL starts to develop overhead and move east, the -nao block builds west and seems to try and keep the ULL overhead. cpickett79
Tippy to save the day soon is that the name of the chair under your rafter this still beats a flat out torch any day of the week IMO....if we have a 5 S.D short wave next week rolling thru the MS valley (with a nao building west ) .....i honestly don't think we get screwed over the period in which it passes by
