Hurricane Sunset on 8-26-2011

On the evening of 8-26 Irene's outer bands began to roll in and the over mid to higher level cloud deck was in place overhead. These higher clouds made for one of the best sunsets I have ever witnessed thanks to the sun on the horizon reflecting off the bottom of them. Additionally you can see one of the first squalls approaching in association with the storm. These were shot in Carrboro.

Those are some fantastic shots Jeremy. I had something somewhat different over here when the very edge of Irene's clouds were pulling away from here. They had the look of a lovely shade of pink along the edge while the inside was a light grey color. Wish I had took a picture of it. I missed those wonderful breezes I received with the occasional 25mph gust.
