eyewall Posted August 31, 2011 Share Posted August 31, 2011 On the evening of 8-26 Irene's outer bands began to roll in and the over mid to higher level cloud deck was in place overhead. These higher clouds made for one of the best sunsets I have ever witnessed thanks to the sun on the horizon reflecting off the bottom of them. I had something somewhat different over here when the very edge of Irene's clouds were pulling away from here. They had the look of a lovely shade of pink along the edge while the inside was a light grey color. Wish I had took a picture of it.
