SoCoWx
12 GFS is teasing two big cold fronts next week and the following weekend, giving us lows in the 40s and even 30s in NY/NE. Lee wrecked that chance with this front...will Nate wreck the next chance? Don't even speak such blasphemy..

Ellinwood
500 vort. max is pretty weak, but there'll be some help from the left-exit region of an upper-level jet... enough shear+instability in play to keep an eye out for severe tomorrow. BethesdaWX
huh?...It is around 80 and kind of humid...how is this the best evening of the year? ^^ Of the summer ^^ Not sure why I wrote yr. Maybe after a brutal summer & days of rain, mid 70's with a light breeze felt better than it otherwise would. And to be honest dry air isn't my thing. MN Transplant
SPC - see text ...MID ATLANTIC STATES... PERSISTENT UPPER LOW OVER THE MID MS AND OH VALLEYS WILL MAINTAIN A RISK OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM MS/AL NORTHEASTWARD INTO PA/NY AND THE MID ATLANTIC STATES. WATER VAPOR IMAGERY SUGGESTS MULTIPLE WEAK DISTURBANCES WILL EJECT NORTHEASTWARD INTO THE MID ATLANTIC STATES LATER TODAY...WHERE MODELS ARE IN GENERAL AGREEMENT THAT AFTERNOON STORMS WILL OCCUR. CONVECTION WILL LIKELY FORM OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF EASTERN WV/WESTERN VA AND SPREAD SLOWLY EASTWARD TOWARD THE DELMARVA REGION THIS EVENING. STEEPENING LAPSE RATES AND STRONG HEATING SUGGEST SOME RISK OF ORGANIZED MULTICELL STORMS CAPABLE OF GUSTY WINDS AND HAIL. HOWEVER...WEAK LOW LEVEL WINDS AND MARGINAL DEEP LAYER VERTICAL SHEAR SUGGEST THAT THE COVERAGE OF INTENSE STORMS WILL BE QUITE LOW. 12z local run 4km WRFs are stormy ARW NMM

CranberryWX
Showers are popping up and forming into a line the last hour or so across central WV. It looked like I was going to be missed but one formed just over me giving a quick downpour. Not sure what is causing it as it has been a pretty nice day up to this point with fairly low humidity and few clouds.

Been almost completely sunny here all day (a few clouds now finally) with a high of 87. hot as hell again. forecast of 80? we never fail to overperform in temperature, and underform in precip.
