Bob Chill
I was driving home to rville from bmore while the storm was developing. Great extended light show before driving into the heavy rain. Had a bolt blast a tree 100 yrd in front of the truck on norbeck rd. It burned an image into my retinas for about 15 seconds. Awesome! BethesdaWX
Please ignore the foul language/heavy reaction Some of this s**t was literally less that 5 houses down (Strike 2 was probably the closest) I was actually inside the house so the true sound/loudness of the thunder is not captured as well as I'd like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sLo4osUv38&feature=player_detailpage

Sparky
Gonna miss this warm, humid, somewhat tropical feel and showers/tstorms we have had the last few days. Been interesting weather if you ask me, not something we have in late Sept a lot. The cool down and sunnier weather coming will be nice but boring too. Getting some lightning and thunder now just started a few minutes ago.
BethesdaWX
20 seconds of pitch black made me long for the next 7 minutes. Yeah should have done a compilation, lightning died off after 3 minutes or so. The bolt at 0:53 hit about 3 lots to the SE, not seeing it in front of my face probably saved the video. I'm gonna try and be as nice as I can when I say this, as you know we have battled before, but do you think you can cut back and limit the cursing in your posts? I think it would go a long way to helping and making your obs more enjoyable for others to read. In OT I could care less but wx side should be a place for solid verbal skills. No trying to troll, just a suggestion.
North Balti Zen
I'm gonna be pissed if it rains on Saturday. +1. After it looking cool but DRY for that day in the forecast all week, now LWX puts in 60% chance of rain? Fudge.

It doesn't appear to be anything of significance. Afternoon windswept light showers with cold pool over warmer surface kind of deal. Typical Fall stuff. Looking forward to the refreshing west winds. Mrs.J
Had a downpour up here with a storm that prompted a strong t-storm warning. Dumped so much rain there were several small streams running through the back yard. Sunny and cooler out now. Hope that means the humidity is done.
