Is anything going to be done about this piece of chit?

Would a letter-writing campaign to our House Reps or something get some money funneled this way for a replacement?

It seems like for years now this thing is offline for one reason or the other. Is it just a factor of old age?

I have an article going up online tonight about this. Disgraceful the radar was down during the brunt of the storm. It's not Mount Holly's fault but the damn thing is a piece of crap.

The last thing the NWS needs at this point is a cut in funding.

Agreed.

It was very frustrating.

Suggestion for Mount Holly -- you can raise money for a new radar by taking down the old one and by asking for money at the Open House to take one swipe at the radar with a sledge hammer. $60 per hit, $100 per two. You'd have every weenie lined up from the NWS out to the turnpike interchange waiting to take a swipe.
