LocoAko
Didn't lose power at my hhouse in New Brunswick (flickered a bbunch) but vast areas of campus and NB lost power. Still have no internet. East Brunswick and Milltown still had no power as of last night. The Raritan River flooded to wjat could be its highest crest ever (gauge broke but was almost there). Route 18 was completely submerged .... Never seen anything like that. Just reopened last night aand people who were evacuated are now allowed back. Some big trees down on campus, lots of ssmall branches down everywhere. River flooding here wwas tje main story. Roads closed all around the area bbut mostly better now. Still lots of people in the area wwith no ppower. Hope they gget it back soon along with mmy internet lol.
Absolute Humidity
Basement flooded when concrete blocks cracked and spewed water under high pressure. Had several inches of water in by 5am when I noticed it, as power failure prompted me to go down to sump pump and check power came up shortly after but silt had clogged pump, but i was able to clear it and save most of basements stuff. Lost several large tree limbs and neighbors fence door to tree. Also lost a lot of sleep and a vacation day from work cleaning up basement and tree debris with my reciprecating saw. AmyB
Still no power in Blackstone, MA. Estimated date of restoration is Sept. 4.. The worst part so far of not having power is boredom. We've been spending a lot of time with our neighbors, grilling and making coffee manually. We're fortunate enough to have hot water and gas stoves. The stove has to be lit manually because the electric ignition obviously isn't working. Funny how turning on lights is habitual and something we instinctively do when walking into the bathroom. wiley1
Nothing even close to Glorias intensity here in Warwick,RI. Was lucky to not loose power here but other sections of my area may not get the lights back on until Monday.
