All Door County state parks are closed until at least Monday. I figured there would be some issues in Door County, what with the nearly hurricane force wind gusts. I'm glad I'm not vacationing there this weekend. It will be thanksgiving this year, which opens up the possibility of some significant snow either on the ground or in the forecast.

After spending most of the evening in the 50s the temp is tanking now. Should be the coldest night of the season. Coldest so far has been 36.

Interesting temp fluctuations here this evening. As soon as I posted the above the temp jumped back up from 43 to 46. No cloud cover. Must have been a shallow inversion mixing out.

Yeah overall I'm pretty happy with this September. It's usually the most uneventful month here (IMHO) anyway. There were some interesting features this year. The run at 100 early in the month, the wicked cutoff low regeneration, and the most impressive winds of the season in the form of gradient winds. :guitar:
