wisconsinwx
Bowme looks like he has himself under one of those decent rain producing lake effect showers, although he's probably up north right now. It should be a rainy next three or four days.

wisconsinwx
Apparently 3 different waterspouts were detected about a half hour ago off the Milwaukee shore. I'm pretty sure they were quite brief, though, probably briefer than the one Skilling just tracked.

Thundersnow12
You should go waterspout chasing. I was thinking about it but was way too tired and didn't want to get up at 5am, oh well. Here is the waterspout east of downtown Milwaukee from a station camera.
wisconsinwx
You should go waterspout chasing. I'm trying to get work done in between looking at the radar and reports, so waterspout chasing is not an option. From my vantage point six miles off L Michigan, all I could see were some scud that were lowered about a fourth of the way from the cloud to the ground. snowstormcanuck
According to the Graphical Forecast, it is a lake-effect shower due to the cold air aloft. Some thunder with it as well. I stand corrected. Per SPC mesoanalysis 850 temps are around +3C. I didn't realize the cool pool aloft with the ul was that cool.

cyclone77
Time Lapse. Wow that was awesome! I believe Matt petkovic phoned in a multiple vortex waterspout heading for Navy Pier. Been another cool and mostly cloudy day here. A few showers around but none have hit here yet. Feels like Halloween out there lol.

Chicago WX
Decent storm skirting LAF to the west. IND put out a SWS for half inch hail with it. The most excitement we can muster here locally this September...

wisconsinwx
We are having a great rainstorm from a little tiny cell. It moved right through the heart of the city, and although it's a quick 10 or 15 minute rain, some areas probably saw close to a half inch in that time. Chicago Storm
Just got a text from Joe saying he saw landspout-ish looking funnel. Dont know where he is though. I was out on the far northwest side of Elgin on Randall Rd. It was associated with a weak/small shower and persisted for about 1-2min before dissipating. I wish I would have had my camera with me to take a time lapse. It was interesting to watch what ended up being a low topped shower develop, produce the funnel, and then fall apart. Ya I was out west of Randall Rd golfing awhile before you texted me and probably at about 3pm or so a healthy and beefy tower went up, got a really dark/scudish base but never did anything interesting.
