Here's my forecast for tonight in Londonderry Vermont....this is gonna blow.

Tonight: Rain, snow, and sleet likely before midnight, then snow, freezing rain, and sleet between midnight and 4am, then rain, snow, and sleet after 4am. Low around 32. Southeast wind between 3 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Adjusted Forecast: Fail, disaster, two snow flakes, and electric bath before midnight, then warm layer, abortion, and bullsh*t precipitation types between midnight and 4am, then acid rain, a few flakes of holy snow, and more bullsh*t after 4am. Low around 32.

You must be getting your information at fantasyland.com because White Plain's averages are 35/21 for January. Even Boston's average high is around 36 for January. You've got to go into the interior/mountains to get average highs of 32F or below for January. Mt. Pocono's average high for Jan is 31F, so I'm pretty darn sure HPN doesn't average the same.

Actually the Mid-atlantic averages in the 40s for January, upper 40s in Washington DC. The 30s start in CNJ.

Sorry friend, but those are monthly averages. Break it down day by day and you'll see that the average high for HPN is 31 around January 15......here are the average temps. The link at the bottom has the temps for each day

From January 13-24 the average high at HPN is at or below freezing......nearly half the month.

You have to be care when looking at averages

Not they aren't...not sure where wunderground gets those averages, but HPN never averages below freezing for highs. I posted the climate data.

Well for that period KNYC posts around 37 for an average high and given KHPN's elevation and positon in a "dip" within that higher terrain I'd expect the daily highs during that period to be around freezing.
