tough night for them...and you guys....what ya hear from emergency responders?

Lotta the usual, trees/wires down etc. We've gotten lucky and only had 1 tree down in our 1st due area so far. Evacuated an old folks community in Buena Vista due to heavy flooding. Other then that, not too bad. Gonna take a ride over to the Firehouse in a minute, just to take a look at how the area looks. I'm sure we're gonna get a ton of calls once daylight comes and people wake up. REALLY can't believe I still have power, it's out all around me. 11,000 out in Hammonton alone.

don't know if its my radar hallucination...but center of circulation or remnants thereof trying to make a landfall near AC per radar....close to NHC update time too this will be interesting if they make the center over or very near land at that time and if we still "officially" have a cane

It's very close, but looks like it makes a right jog away from the coast new radar update. It's even with Cape May Courthouse right now. It should make landfall around LBI.

Question if it is over water etc then why have i been reading this on the latest update posted at 3:30 AM by Mt Holly..

AT 3 AM EDT...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE IRENE WAS LOCATED NEARLATITUDE 38.1N...LONGITUDE 75.0W. THIS WAS ABOUT 90 MILESSOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF ATLANTIC CITY NJ...OR ABOUT 70 MILESSOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF DOVER DE. STORM MOTION WAS NNE OR 20 DEGREESAT 17 MPH. STORM INTENSITY WAS 80 MPH.

Or was it at this time and now its where you have it marked?

jinxed it...I think that jog might be the nail in the jersey landfall coffin...we'll see

Looks like it might just cross between LBI and ACY. We'll see. Could wobble either way. Here's my guess for 5AM center. I think that's maybe 10 miles due south of Atlantic City.

12:45 - Neshaminy Creek at Langhorne at 11.62', flood stage is 9'

Forecast crest has been increased to 20', would be 3rd highest on record:

22.84' - 8/19/1955

21.91' - 9/16/1999

Fortunately many of the homes located in the floodplain have been bought out or raised, Hulmeville Borough would jump out at me as being in trouble with that kind of crest.

4:45 - now 15.12' at Langhorne, forecast crest bumped to 21.5'

Channel 10 reporting landfall this morning at Little Egg Inlet. I did not notice the exact time, but it was a few minutes past 6am.

Amazed that we are completely dry inside and didn't lose power once. Still a bit to go, and we could get some cranking westerlies, but the worst is over.

Looks like the euro will have done pretty well on track, at least through our area...
