PSUBlizzicane2007
http://www.forbes.com/sites/patrickmichaels/2011/08/26/get-real-hurricane-irene-should-be-renamed-hurricane-hype/ This douchebag needs a wake up call. It is attitudes like his which lead to loss of lives in situations like these. Speaking as a meteorologist wanting to go into natural disaster policy, it is crap like this which make it harder for emergency workers to effectively manage a situation. johnc
Track forecasts are looking pretty good. Intensity forecasts need some work. The guy makes a good point, but it's too early yet to draw those conclusions from Irene.
bobbutts
It's too easy to come and and crap on people by questioning decisions long after they're made.. Some regular people's forecasts will verify better than the nhc here, but they're fooling themselves if they think storm cancel or downgrade on every threat is a safe or reliable way to forecast cyclones.
