rain and sustained 30mph with gusts between 35-45mph for the past 3 hours here on the other side of VT in the city....winds seem to be increasing every hour and perhaps we can make a run at 50-60 yet much to my surprise that would be.

interested to see south shore st laurent and up by quebec city on the rive sud, i imagine these places may surpass 65-70??

lots of rain..not a nice day.

Wasn't the biggie that it could have been. but neat storm nonetheless...and very destructive for coastal sw CT.

Figures, the one time that we wanted the right hook, we couldn't get it.....you can bet your life that the next time it's proggred to pass over Boston, it will end up btwn the BM and ACK.

Pictures coming out of my hometowns of Guilford and Branford look really bad. Places flooded for the first time since 1938.

Wind damage was serious even though the winds were short of Gloria. Wet soil and long duration made the outages worse. By the time we're done we'll probably be near 800k w/o power.. by far a new record.

The impacts from this will be felt for weeks and months, especially for those affected by the flooding.

Seems like we're about done here. Very cool storm as we rarely ever see sustained winds, even if they were only 25mph for a time. Gusts were not as high as I had hoped, but there were still some impressive ones nonetheless. Leaves and branches scatter the streets and some trees reported down in ASH too, which is rare as well.

Hell of a lot better than faux severe threats, swampazz torches, or winter discussion.

Nuh -uh. I didn't want it. I like my quiet little corner of MA. Living in the woods, I'm not fond of potential tree damage. It looks like the heavy branch loss this past winter cleared away anything that might have dropped now.
