Stay safe Joe. Hope you don't get hit to badly. Neighbors are sustaining major damage to low lying parts of their property. Not cool.

There is tremendous amounts of water pouring out of the Berkshires and W. Franklin Co. The Westfield and Deerfield Rivers are going to be extremely dangerous.

Good luck.

Pete Bouchard keeps saying thatthat band is the worst and it'll be gradual improvement basically all day. Sounds like here in E MA we may get a second max of winds later in the day?

So far it's been pretty low impact here. That band sorta fell apart before it reached the city but did bring with it a solid 50+ mph gust that brought some small dead branches down but no damage and power hasnt even shown any hints of going out. You can see the low clouds just overhead absolutely flying though so I imagine it must be quite windy a bit higher up.

Isolated power outages...lol. 150,000+ without power now. He also thought the worst problem with the '08 icestorm would be black ice.

yah two. bottom of sandollar cir and bottom of shorewood dr e fal. is the exact loc. constant 40 to 60 plus gusts for hours, like mess said its pretty normal.

Cool. Sounds like fun even if it is pretty normal for the area. What's the wave size like? You should have let me rent the other one out so I could have enjoyed it from the shore as well.

The Colrain report is right up the street from me. Fortunately our neighborhood is a good 50' above the river. I'll try and get picks but if the wind picks up forget it because it's a quarter mile walk through trails with big trees.

9.6" report in Ashfield, MA of rain via WWLP

Pretty close to my tally, sounds right. Bronson Brook is raging, you can hear boulders tocking off one another as the torrent moves them downstream. The upper Westfield is full of trees and other forest debris. The sound is deafening and it shakes the ground.

I'm at 4.5" total rainfall so far. I had to empty my rain gauge so I have a slight bit of uncertainty, but we'll see how it checks out with the local obs.

Heavy rain, wind and 63 here.
