Love the trolls posts, especially since no one but other trolls respond to them. We might like bathroom sophomoric humor but we ain't dumb hicks.

Awesome Trop Storm, best ever.

Honestly. It doesn't matter if the winds are sustained 75mph or 50 mph in my book. We haven't one of these in 20 years so I will enjoy this experience.

EXACTLY!

The duration of the winds too along with the saturated grounds is going to cause widespread significant damage...doesn't matter if it's 50 or 75 like you said.

Finally this thing is back over water. That was painful seeing the landfall over Morehead City this a.m. Lets hope it stays offshore of NJ and the Delmarva. Would love to see the next landfall somewhere in Suffolk county NY, instead of NYC or Nassau. We already had a pretty intense high tide an hour ago or so. Hoping to see a nice 4-8 ft surge 12 hours from now.

I might be the only person left on this forum thinking as such but I think this will overperform compared to what a lot of people are expecting. It just does NOT want to weaken... Call me crazy, but my opinions are my opinions.

What makes you say that? Yesterday this was a 115 mph storm, and it seems every other advisory knocks down the maximum winds by 5 mph.

under normal circumstances I'd think this would be a TS with sustained of 60-65kts right now...its staying relatively strong/same right now and has been over the last 12 or so hours.

Things go a little slower out your way, Pete. We got ours at 6:30.

LOL, this was our third update. I was out when the first two came. Very specific right down to saying the center of the storms circulation was forecast to move by 6 miles to the east of Chesterfield. Not sure where that info is coming from. They spoke of long duration winds of 45-65 with gusts in excess of 75 mph. Got a bad feeling about this one.

Just back from Watch Hill - last minute customer requests - all hatches have been battened down. The main street is all boarded up - looks stranger than winter. However the Ocean House was alll lit and from what I heard was quite full (the place is quite hurricane proof). Monday should be interesting.
