Riptide
Tornado watch is verifying here, just had a close lightning strike with the squalls coming in from the Ocean. My strongest gusts are around 25 mph at this point.

Don Cherry's Jacket
Based on the radar, looks like prolonged moderate to heavy rain coming to everyone in the metro area in under an hour. I still light winds here, even with some moderate rain.
Bodhi Cove
Blame CWG, they retweeted the bad info! My relief will be (hopefully) driving over from the shore, so I've got my eye on the Maryland CHART website highway signs. At this point they're only warning of cross winds on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I figure when the empty trailers are no longer allowed to cross, the closure won't be too much later. WVclimo
12Z NAM gives me 0.16" I think I'll do a bit better than that. Coastals are the one time I miss living in the DC 'burbs. Well, the NAM has busted low. 0.25" in the past fifteen minutes. Sharp western cutoff cancel.

Sparky
Lightning = Tornado? 25mph = Tornado? He probably is equating lightning with deep convection which is correct and that is where a tornado would spin up in a storm of this nature.

MDstorm
Looking at that trough plunging into the Tn Valley and the past few hours of north, and maybe even slightly north of west movement of this thing, I wonder if it ends up moving slightly more west than forecast.
