real
I think I am hearing branches that are breaking but don't fall to the ground, if that makes. They crack but need another 10mph to fall to ground
smokeybandit
Just got power back after an hour maybe. With the sump pump running every 5 minutes (and the backup pump not worth a damn) and a window well drain clogged or otherwise backed up, my best impromptu purchase ever is a generator. WVclimo
Hope you get crushed with rogue bands. Thanks, Greg. I felt all along if we exceeded 0.50" it would be a win, as the models were stubborn about keeping any effects east of here. Really nice late August day. 6th day this month with a high below 80. EDIT: As I type that, over 1,000 people spontaneously lose power in north potomac. Irene is "only" still moving at 16 mph, so it makes sense the outages would spike first south of the county in latitude and take an hour or two to translate up further north. Of course, Prince Georges county being further east also has them in on the higher winds regardless.

Of course, Prince Georges county being further east also has them in on the higher winds regardless. They are starting to spillover into MoCo now. Overall outage numbers taking a spike up now around 60,000 for PEPCO.
