BethesdaWX
They should make up their minds - They were up near that last night then lowered and now raising again? Confliction ftw. 12z NAM says yes to high winds and rain, might best the 00z for extremity though not sure about that.

Wow, that would be impressive - tho it is still the NAM. I would think we are in its hot zone now though.

I trust the NAM much more 12-24hrs out, definitely puts us in the 4-6"+ rainfall band, makes sense given the expanse of the precip field atm. Also note the NAM correctly forecasted the due N movement/wobble as has been seen for the past several hrs.
Don Cherry's Jacket
and it begins I lost power last night in McLean, came back on about 5. Dominion's outage service said it was a downed tree, which doesn't make me real hopeful that I'll be live blogging the real event.

nw baltimore wx
http://www.ssd.noaa....2/flash-wv.html The water vapor image shows NNW travel over the last hour and a half... trend or a wobble? Someone can clarify this because I could be wrong, but I think you're seeing the dynamics of the storm changing as a result of making landfall rather than a change in track. Zeromus-X
Still have power in Suffolk VA. We are getting some gusts strong enough to blow my fireplace doors open and I watched part of a tree go down the street, but overall nothing unexpected.
