TUweathermanDD
Really starting to gust here hard in Dundalk, I'm not far from the bay so I'll probably be one of the people seeing the strongest gusts at the peak of the storm.
TUweathermanDD
Officially reported a gust to 76mph at Williamsburg/Jamestown Ob was correct before I guess.
nw baltimore wx
Lost power here in Pikesville for like an hour. Weird, we hardly had any gusts over 30 yet. Powers back now. Where are you in Pikesville? No problems here. Yet. (crossed fingers)

real
Richmond is actually farther west than DC, surprisingly. If it gusted to 71, isn't that a sign DC could also experience similar gusts?
rosemont/old town
Maybe, but in the last frame of the national radar it looks like there is just the beginning of an eye beginning to show again. Lost power here on Mt. Vernon Ave, downed power line, thought for sure it was going to be dark here until tomorrow night. Dominion stepped up, power is back on. I think the rain has died down here but the wind is starting to increase steadily.

Ian
Maybe, but in the last frame of the national radar it looks like there is just the beginning of an eye beginning to show again. it's way too heavily weighted to the outer bands at this point. there might be some convection at the center but it's not going to do much until it transitions and by then it should be weaker anyway. however plenty of models brought it up north quite deep so it will be interesting to see how much it can more or less hold its own. downgrade should be coming sometime soon still... Probably not to that extent, the gradient actually isn't all that tight yet compared to what is progged after 11PM on the NAM.

If it gusted to 71, isn't that a sign DC could also experience similar gusts? No. Richmond is closer to the center of the storm than DC will ever be.
