Am I missing something, or is this about to get here earlier than expected? http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=AKQ&product=NCR&overlay=11101111&loop=yes
WxUSAF
Probably not...look at some of the modeled reflectivities and they match this pretty well. Main batch arrives after 0z tonight in most of those.
crainjd
Sustained about 28 mph, with 45 mph gusts in Virginia Beach with moderate rain. Torrential rain about 4:30 this morning.
BethesdaWX
LWX calling for a wild night Tropical storm conditions expected. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 67. North wind 31 to 41 mph, with gusts as high as 49 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 2 and 3 inches possible. The Dude
The wind forecast seems overdone. Latest has winds of 31-41 tonight, with gusts to 50. Wilmington, NC, which was closer to the center of the storm when it was stronger than it will be up here never got above 46 mph sustained. Given that, and the projected path, I'm having a tough time believing that we'll see sustained winds much above 25-30.
NinjaWarrior2
Think Baltimore gets 2-3 and winds up to 35mph gusting to 50, wouldnt be suprised if the rain is done by this time tomorrow. Basically almost an Ernesto except with slightly stronger winds

snowfan
2-3 for rain in Baltimore is likely under done. Wouldn't be surprised to see amounts that are double of that amount. This isn't moving in and out quickly.

WinterWxLuvr
I think any of you guys who are in the area of constant rains will see easily more than 2 or 3 inches of rain.

SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Looks like very little/no Eastward component of motion at the moment.
samdman95
It might just be a wobble, but the movement seems to be N, if not NNW for the past hour http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/eaus/flash-wv.html
BethesdaWX
Air is dripping with moisture, feels totally gross. Light breezes have arrived in the past 30min.
Kmlwx
On second thought...the models look wrong. Rain is into southern PG county MD. Wonder if that means it would be a longer event in total or if it will just cut off earlier than expected to compensate for the earlier start time. mattie g
Got out and mowed the lawn at 8:00 am (I'm sure the neighbors were well pleased) and tidied up some thing on the deck - it was disgustingly soggy out. On second thought...the models look wrong. Rain is into southern PG county MD. NOWCAST time!
