A-L-E-X
Underwater? Bad drainage streets? No, apparently it's from the surge. The parts that are flooded are low lying areas near Jamaica Bay. Also, no power there (obviously, we dont want people to get electrocuted lol.)

ScottB
Some serious gusts here. Absolutely pissing rain for hours now and as long as we're on the end of this band where these mini cells keep forming and slamming us there's no end in sight for now. Dsnowx53
Wow, it's really starting to get worse here. Rains have really picked up, and a couple of minutes ago, we had a really heavy burst of rain, where the winds had to have gusted past 40mph. SnowGoose69
This could very well be the worst portion of the storm right now for alot of people. We're getting some strong momentum transfers and probably a few gusts to 60....I don't know what to expect from that center any longer. Not get impressive obs from the near or west side of it in south NJ and the Delmarva...its just a question of what the eastern side has, but it may require alot of heavy rain to really form east of the center to drag the winds to the surface. earthlight
The OKX radar is a bit deceiving...if you look at the DOX radar you can see how far south the storm really extends.
SnoSki14
I'm pretty much in the lull, so is this it or what. We had over 3" of rain so far and some strong gusts but now everything has quieted down in East Brunswick.
Cyg
Very gusty here; got a particularly stiff gust a few minutes ago that bent the windows of a glass sliding door in a bit. Rain is incredible, but that's pretty much been the story all night. I have to imagine the power is going out again soon...it's just nasty out.
