I think it is the west exposure. I am not used to winds blowing in this direction in the 6 years I have lived here. My windows start shaking when we have strong westerlies like after cold fronts, etc.

A gust we had almost knocked me over earlier this year lol. Winds are usually rare though, even seabreezes, no relief at all from any heat we get.

I just saw someone get thrown down the block, it's intensifying, the little window breeze has turned into a small mist fan turned on low.

Highest gust so far is only 31 mph.

Yeah, I am thinking that all the time spent tracking this storm is turning my head into jello. Common sense. If I knew the winds would be out of the NE, I would not have bothered taping all my windows and I have 8 huge ones facing west. Could the winds shift and give me west winds reaching hurricane strength?

south of us have had strong NW winds after the center goes by. certainly not hurricane strength tho

it's impressive how loud it is outside. can't imagine what a real fooking hurricane would sound like.

also interesting comparing the completely different acoustics of the boxer day blizzard and this thing going on now.

I thought I was the only one doing that. I wonder if there'd be such a huge difference if the trees weren't fully leaved.
