Bob looked pretty good on satellite east of NJ with a well defined eye, Gloria did not. I'd imagine the 38 storm if there was satellite would have looked good.

It was transitioning to ET though. The tight core circular symmetrical stuff is relegated to lower latitudes, except for Carol perhaps.

I slept through the heaviest of that. Woke up in time to still see the flooded street.

that rain was incredible.it flooded the cooper ave underpass in glendale with 9 feet of water,no exaggeration.utopia parkway had 5 feet of water on the street,There was just insane floods everywhere.People on yellowstone nearly drowned in ther basement apartments.

This is what I was talking about a few hours ago..the max winds are now well removed from the center..

so you may get your max winds with these bands soon...then hold there

IRENE IS A LARGE TROPICAL CYCLONE. HURRICANE-FORCE WINDS ARE LOCATED

OVER A RELATIVELY SMALL AREA ROUGHLY 125 MILES...205 KM...TO THE

EAST OF THE CENTER. TROPICAL-STORM-FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD

UP TO 240 MILES...390 KM FROM THE CENTER. TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS

WILL SPREAD NORTHWARD INTO SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY AND LONG ISLAND

OVERNIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING.
