SnowGoose69
It just rained harder here than I've ever seen in my life for about 2 minutes Its crazy how much moisture tropical air holds. I have seen 1/2 mile visibility in calm winds before down in south Florida, the rain was that hard it dropped the visibility even with no wind. Brian5671
No way we only get 3"-4" like NAM. Completely wrong. if the center goes over the city, the big rains will be in NJ and PA...it may not be wrong (even though I hate the nam!-hate to give it any credit)

dbc
its coming, absolutely torrential right now, winds picking up too I don't doubt it. lol.
ace0927
Certainly no 9"+ like was modelled a few days back. Looks to me like a general 3-5" across the region, which is still significant when combined with the storm surge and wind gusts over 50-55mph. 100% i was just pointing it out
snywx
Winds are really picking up up here.. Gusting 20-25mph with moderate rain

CAT5ANDREW
I did not see a single flash of lightning with Gloria or Floyd but have had lightning and thunder now with this band. This is a very dynamic system with more severe weather potential than with the other 2 storms.
