real
Heard "unofficial" reports of 2 feet of snow and wind chills below zero. I'd love to be sitting under one of those bands off the lakes. maybe some areas have reached 2 feet, but the webcams out on Keyers Ridge and other places indicate far less. Traffic is moving smoothly on Interstate 68. But Garrett County did close schools today.

Jebman
I am so jealous of DCL its not even funny! I want to savor a nice leisurely jebwalk up there so bad! I am dying to shovel that snow and to pile it up into embarrassingly tall piles that people come from thousands of miles away to see! Our weather would be so awesome, if only it were not for those mountains getting all my rightful snow!

Not that i'm the official welcoming commitee or anything, but I was just thinking the other day how it wouldn't really seem like a winter weather board without Jebman bringing his POV to those late night threads when the models start getting really interesting. NCSNOW
Several places in the northern North Carolina Mountains have gotten up to 18+ since Saturday. Over 4 foot drifts on western facing slopes on the ridgeline in Avery county reported Sunday afternoon, hate to think what it is by now. Funny thing is the same places should easily cash in with another 1-2 feet early next week just off the upslope.

Just thinking of that 2 feet of fresh upslope snow is breaking my poor weenie heart. Just for one precious jebwalk in that snow, with those winds blasting the huge flakes sideways!!!! Just one hour to wallow in a deep 4 foot drift!!! I'd show those highlanders how to shovel snow!!! It wouldn't take me no entire week just to dig out!!! MAN we really need to organize a road trip to those NC mountains and kick back in all that deep snow!! Relax in heavy upslope snow!!! Tilt back a cold one as we enjoy deep blowing snow!!!!
