Logan11
Little or no land to weaken it now...unless we count some marshes and barrier islands in far eastern NC. The water up to southern NJ must be pretty toasty...enough to sustain it maybe. Its speeding up so much that it could be terrible news for the Sunday morning high tide. CoastalWx
That very clip is on my old VHS TWC video "Danger's Edge" I have Dark Days of August and the tornado video with the Andover KS Tornado. Classics.
ORH_wxman
That very clip is on my old VHS TWC video "Danger's Edge" I own Danger's Edge too, lol. Bad timing on its release. It was right before Andrew hit...they should have waited another few months, lol. This faster forward speed is becoming a major issue for the Narragansett high tide around 12z-13z Sunday morning. OSUmetstud
Its speeding up so much that it could be terrible news for the Sunday morning high tide. could be..I don't think it's speeding up much between HSE and LI...it actually looks like it gets to the Outerbanks faster. I still think we are talking about a forward speed of around 20 kt on this run.
SnowMan
Question - when Irene is over water the circle in the middle is really tight yet at 66 hours when she is over ORH the circle is huge...why? Wind field expanding?
Typhoon Tip
I forget, but he was 83 years old, its not like he was 65 or something. But it was cool that he stayed on the air pretty much right until he died. What a sad loss... Damn. I'm late to the wake here. He was awesome, man. He really was. My fav is the "Dark Days of August", though.....I have another one from NOAA that is Gilbert centric.....don't have "Force Four", which is Hugo centric, though....wasn't so invested at 8. Whats MMK? I'm really leaning towards here cause of the heavy rainfall AND winds. If were looking at 10-12" thats awesome.

CoastalWx
NJ and NYC could be completely inundated by freshwater flooding..lol. That's gonna be the biggest concern there imo. Maybe areas in wrn LI sound for surge I suppose.

I still think we are talking about a forward speed of around 20 kt on this run. Regardless of how the speed incrfease is distributed, if its nearing LI at 12z, then that is certainly worse. If it speeds up another 3-4 hours, then its worst case scenario.
