ORH_wxman
Nam is way east of the MA My gut says that faster and east is probably the likely trend as we get closer. Certainly that's the way it usually works out.

Jebman
You're gonna get hurricaned to death this summer/autumn, northeasterners. Then this winter is going to be the ultimate Snowmageddon for the Northeast with over 1500 percent of normal worth of snow from New York City NE'ward. You'll be talkin' bout this autumn and winter well into the 2040s Mark My Words...

j24vt
can anyone recommend an easy to install battery operated sump pump? either something to temporarily replace my current a/c pump or to just serve as backup when the inevitable power outages hit. The nice thing is I should be able to find something up here in Albany without having to deal with any chaos at the stores. Too bad Kev is already in bed, I bet that woulda got a big AWT. Starting to get a little nervous about actual impacts here in boston since I think people don't really expect it to be that big a deal. I was in baltimore co. for Floyd and that wasn't terrible winds since I was on the "calm" side of the storm winds-wise (def dropped a sh*t ton of rain) but the TS force winds still did a number on the trees in the forest behind the house. I'm excepting far worse winds this time around if I end up in the windy side of the storm as projected...

OSUmetstud
I don't think the NAM is right...it's beating down the North Atlantic ridge in a way the GFS and the ECWMF aren't doing. It's verifying stronger with the northern shortwave between 48 and 72 hours....heights look to be about 5 dm lower over Nova Scotia.
