Clinch Leatherwood
gfs landfall w/c li right into the heart of SNE LOL, all I can see on raleighx is a big L the size of two rhode islands. It looked like it was scraping Jersey but it stays just east into western/central LI? For the history buffs how does that compare to 38 and Gloria? DomNH
I've got a W/C LI landfall on the zoomed in MSLP maps.
Tropopause_Fold
it bends right earlier...very similar to the 6z run but starts to turn as it reaches LI so ends up cutting through C/E CT into NE MA
CoastalWx
If we were to see a tick east, it would likely be north of HSE. Basically it's not the whole track that would shift east, it's more a quicker bend to the east one it gets north of HSE.
ChrisM
For some reason it's showing the 8 AM map and not the 11 AM map. well I mean how do they not even have a higher chance for NC? I think maybe it's just a time thing, that it becomes more uncertain with time and therefore distance from the center of circulation now?
Logan11
We're talking about minutia here.... Essentially unchanged when you are talking about a system still 1500 miles away. Yeah it's just off Jersey shore to New Haven or just east of there it's a touch east of 06z

wxsniss
Just a smidge east, but nonetheless more land interaction with NC than we'd like, landfall between Morehead City and Ocracoke NC that would weaken it pretty good
ChrisM
GFS looks about identical to me for track... a bit faster. Just off Jersey short to western LI. what kind of effects do you think that would transmit to here? TS?

wxsniss
For comparison, 12Z GFS looks to make landfall slightly west (ie. slightly more inland into NC), then hooks more NE compared to Gloria below:
CoastalWx
Watch the euro go into Harrisburg...lol. Still think we'll appreciate the track being so far west right now.
Ginx snewx
84 hrs over GINX...87 hrs over kgay Yea this looks like the worst run yet impact wise for the entire East coast from VA To Maine, noone is spared.
Baroclinic Zone
That's sort of what you and I mean I guess...a quicker bend to the right. 12z models seem to be showing this thus far.
