Little or no land to weaken it now...unless we count some marshes and barrier islands in far eastern NC. The water up to southern NJ must be pretty toasty...enough to sustain it maybe.

That very clip is on my old VHS TWC video "Danger's Edge"

I own Danger's Edge too, lol. Bad timing on its release. It was right before Andrew hit...they should have waited another few months, lol.

This faster forward speed is becoming a major issue for the Narragansett high tide around 12z-13z Sunday morning.

could be..I don't think it's speeding up much between HSE and LI...it actually looks like it gets to the Outerbanks faster. I still think we are talking about a forward speed of around 20 kt on this run.

I forget, but he was 83 years old, its not like he was 65 or something. But it was cool that he stayed on the air pretty much right until he died.

What a sad loss... Damn. I'm late to the wake here. He was awesome, man. He really was.

My fav is the "Dark Days of August", though.....I have another one from NOAA that is Gilbert centric.....don't have "Force Four", which is Hugo centric, though....wasn't so invested at 8.

I don't know whether to camp out here or head to MMK...need to make a decision by tomorrow. Tough one.

Same here... I'm here or hyannisport. Whats MMK?

I'm really leaning towards here cause of the heavy rainfall AND winds. If were looking at 10-12" thats awesome.

Meriden, CT...like 25 minutes north of New Haven.

Regardless of how the speed incrfease is distributed, if its nearing LI at 12z, then that is certainly worse. If it speeds up another 3-4 hours, then its worst case scenario.

If you want big winds...Cape is the easy decision. Their wind will be better than anything you get in NH regardless of the track.
