dumb people said that with earl too

Regardless of ultimate track, anyone who sees this as a great setup for a SNE hurricane is not worthy of a response. Even if it does pan out, this is a rather convoluted way of doing it. As for the rest of the gems in this thread, :axe:.

Where in NJ? I grew up in Denville and moved to Budd Lake when I was 21 before I moved down to Florida 3 years ago. Still haven't been in a hurricane.

Do you still live there?

Hurricanes may be fun if you're in a secure location an actually chose to be there, haha!

I lived in Hunterdon county for the majority of the 18 years and moved to Warren county for about 4ish, going back and forth.

I like it because it allows for a slow-moving tropical cyclone and it seems less extratropical (no phasing), unlike any setup you'd see in September/October.

I'm not going to lie. I want a hurricane. A Cat. 1 or 2 is fine. Nothing more than that though.

Until Irene makes the turn and passes me, I won't rest easy because I know it's going to be strong.

If you're in a secure location and have a way of living comfortably with no power, I can imagine it may be fun. Rita was a blast because we just got Cat 1 winds, they throw Hurricane Parties in NOLA that are absolutely friggin EPIC.

Kind of easier for me to just answer any specific question, than me just sitting down and talking about it. So, if you have any specific questions that I feel brave enough to answer, I'll try.

More of a what was it like to experience the eyewall, then the wall of water that rushed through the area. Understandable if you have a hard time talking about it.

Heh, you and I talked about this before... the fascination with having high end hurricanes pass over one's house would wear off quickly once power was lost for weeks, windows were blown in and basements were flooded.

Wait, me? Duck face? :/ That's just how my lips are... lmao. Great. Never heard that before. Thanks for the complex.

You do the duck face in your photo. It's a genre of shot where people think contorting their face makes them prettier. Usually because they have a complex.
