Scorpion
Starting to feel like this may be the big one for the east coast. I agree... really hoping that this might finally be the "one" for Long Island/NYC.
k***
The Bermuda high is too juiced to let this thing recurve w/o hitting the coast, at least SNE will get smacked. Current GFS is the doomsday scenario w/ NC to Maine getting a direct hit. Probably will change of course. 2nd trough kicks it NE and OTS...grow up
SmokeEater
Wow, No question this cyclone has been hard to forecast, so I shouldn't of layed that on the nhc, but the models. Well the short wave does break the ridge, which allows the cyclone to move north and another short wave push's southeastward driving the cyclone northeastward. Right? Boy did you ever backtrack fast. Next time think before you post something like this is the biggest bust in NHC's history. And 4-5 days before it even makes landfall at that. Don't you have another board to post on? Oh wait, that's only you and rainstorm there.

I'd surely wouldn't count on it. Don't bet that house on it. I'm finished with this place as it appears to be a bunch of stuck up children that can't treat people right. My board may be small, but my personal archives is one of the best on earth. Me and rainstorm enjoy something no one else has. Take that and smoke it. Mathew, the models are coming into an agreement. As many posted this is not your classic brush the cape and high tail it out. Mets posting that. Dan76
Don't know why people are ''Praying'' for a cat 5 hurricane...living without power for 2-3 weeks sucks just ask the people in new orleans.

And why not ride out a sick hurricane? You only live and die once. The "moral" debate again.... Some people jump out of airplanes, some ride rollercoasters, others bungee off bridges... or hope for a cat 5 to crush them.
bobbutts
the storm tracks without regard for people's prayers/desires so the entire argument is useless

PSUBlizzicane2007
Ok, the Bahamas Meteorological Department is the second national meteorological service in the Caribbean I have come across that has a link/links to local radar that doesn't work (it even has a blank quicktime movie for the loop!) If they don't have a radar, why even bother putting the links up?
