aslkahuna
From EOS,Transactions, American Geophysical Union Vol.92 No.24 14 June 2011. In article with same title as above, it is noted that research shows that annual CO2 emissions from volcanoes amounts to about 0.26 gigatons per year vs 35 gigatons/year from anthropogenic sources. Volcanic emissions are comparable to the emissions from 2 dozen full capacity 1000 MW coal fired power plants. In order for volcanoes to produce as much CO2 as from anthropogenic sources would require a level of global vulcanism far exceeding what we experience today. This argument still floats around despite being dispelled long, long ago. The same goes for most skeptical points of contention.
