Some light rain and a little thunder so far in piscataway.

The story of the t-storm season this year in northern Middlesex County. I had some moderate rain this evening, and it was heavy briefly a couple times. A few rumbles of thunder. As usual, nothing impressive. I will say that the t-storm on Friday was pretty decent. Not that it was that strong (not much wind at all), but there was a lot of lightning/thunder. It was really the first storm all Summer that I've had quite a few close lightning strikes here. But it's pretty sad when a t-storm that I wouldn't even call strong is the best of the whole Summer. It's remarkable seeing Isotherm talk about close to the best t-storm season ever in Monmouth County, while here just 1 county away we've had no strong t-storms all season. Northern Middlesex County continues to be the ultimate screwzone. I really hate to complain so much, but I just want to see a truly strong t-storm in the worst way. It has been ridiculously long since we've seen one here. Crazy that it's too much ask to get a strong storm with maybe a 40mph wind gust or some small hail. Give me 1 strong storm before this Summer ends!

The t-storm on Thursday night was quite impressive where some close strikes. Where last night it was ok with some heavy downpours and some gusty winds but not quite as impressive. Where Friday I got screwed where the storms moved too slow and weakening where I saw lightning and heard a few low rumbles and received a few rain drops but that was it. This season hasn't been too bad with hit and miss. Thursday was epic though with very constant thunder and lightning with very extreme heavy downpours and with some wind gust up to 30-35 mph. Before this summer ends I would like one more strong to severe t-storm to blast through the entire area through LI.
