I'm surprised no one has posted this yet but at 6:05 CDT the SPC issued Severe Thunderstorm Watch 803 for a large area from eastern MO all the way to the area of the Michigan tornado watch--including large parts of Central IL (including Springfield but south of Chicago), northern and central IN, NW OH, and SW Lower Michigan. 90% prob of severe wind with this watch. And also a line of storms just popping up north of Springfield and heading this way too:

Huh, I hadn't noticed the 90%. Interesting.

Couple of nice looking cells to the west of here. Could get fringed unless they develop a little more to the north.

ONE POSSIBLE TORNADO IS HEADING TOWARD SHELBOURNE IN DUFFERIN

COUNTY. ANOTHER IS HEADED TOWARD LUCAN IN MIDDLESEX COUNTY.

A THIRD IS COMING ONSHORE OFF LAKE HURON SHORELINE BETWEEN ST

JOSEPH AND BAYFILED.

THE SEVERE STORMS COMING ONSHORE SOUTH OF GRAND BEND WILL

AFFECT THE LONDON AREA BETWEEN 8:00 PM AND 9:00 PM. A FUNNEL

CLOUD HAS BEEN SIGHTED OVER NAIRN.

The lightning on that cell south of Grand Bend has insane lightning.

Got missed just to the north here, but got a really nice view of the cell as it blew up pretty much right over my head. Could almost make out some striations. Saw a couple of really sweet lightning strikes across the sky. Cool stuff.

Hail in Kettle Point, ON axesmiley.png

Ouch. Seen that size before personally...not good.

Weird looking sky here. Northern portion of the cell in Tippy falling apart, or moving north of here, but the southern portion looks energetic. May clip me on the east side...

Couple of marbles, but mainly pea size hail here right now.

Hate to repeat it, but the sky was kinda crazy looking before the storm hit.

EDIT: 52 MPH gust at LAF. Par for the course here this August.
