But it's a pathetic cop-out that Anthony Watts didn't have stones to put his prediction on the official record.

Don’t sweat the ice area statistics. The thickness is much greater today, and we could even say the volume is likely more. Arctic temperatures above 80°N have been colder this summer and September. The ice area will rebound quickly, of course. I projected a 5.75 million sq km min. for 2011 a couple weeks back. I’m sticking to it.

That is Watts prediction. Yet he runs the first and foremost blog on skeptic science.

I gotta say outside of a couple folks here. The people here are the best hands down as a group in terms of the weather side of the cryosphere.

It's pretty staggering how few folks who go to these sites Nevins blog or Watts and strickly look at graphs and numbers and make assumptions based on them.

I have learned a lot from everyone here on how this system works and I have a long ways to go. The weather part of this is just as bad on Nevins site as well as Watts.
