Here are the contest rules 1) Must live within the NYC metro subforum post area. If there is a question as to whether or not a certain viewer is within the area, we will conduct a rapid fire poll to get a concensus, assuming they win. 2) Submissions must be posted in this thread and can be made, edited, deleted any time up until 10/1/2011. Thread will close at that point. 3) Nearest date cannot be AFTER the day the trace or better is recorded. If it snows a trace 10/2 and you pick 10/3, you lose. 4) The pot is a $20.00 gift card to dunkin' donuts courtesy of me, with the following wrinkle. This is the pot size, so if 5 people guess correctly, you all get $4.00 cards. 5) I cannot win/play as I am the house. 6) LGA, JFK do not count, so if the dude working the snow gauge at central park falls asleep and misses the first amount trace or better, then so be it. Enjoy, and I look forward to seeing the guesses and then the eventual winner. EDIT: And I am willing to make it star bucks if the winner doesn't like Dunkin. I like that general time frame myself. i remember fiddling around with my local numbers a few years ago, and i can't remember the exact %, but a huge percentage of the time, the first inch of snow fell within 5 days of december 12th.
