Kmlwx Posted August 23, 2011 Share Posted August 23, 2011 I'm not saying that we are going to get a storm... but totally giving up on this 5 days out and 100 miles or so from a good hit is irrational I agree - but at the same time you have to realize that the actual track was verifying consistently NE of the NHC forecast track positions - this coupled with the fact that every model has been trending significantly east should raise the flag. Ian Posted August 23, 2011 Author Share Posted August 23, 2011 i'll be slightly annoyed if it slams the northeast and we get a shower.. i guess it might wreck my cape cod plans labor day weekend if its not careful. if i had to bet it would still be east but maybe not enough for all of new england? i guess they are due--as was tip. At this point I'm rooting for it to head further east...if New England gets in on the action, I'll probably leave the board for a few days. I guess it was hard to totally let go since even at 0z last night the Euro remained stubborn, but it was hard to ignore the eastward trends.
