The shortwave over the Pacific northwest seems a bit more flat this go around, but the heights in the CONUS are a good bit higher. Nothing really to sound the alarms on so far in either direction.

Everything just seems shoved further north this run in general, including the clipper shortwave, blocking, pacific shortwave, and pacific ridge.

Also obvious on H5..heights are at least a hundred miles north probably more in many spots.

Digging the clipper a bit more than the GFS 00z...the 546dm heights are a bit further south on the Euro.

I'd rather that with a great cold front than a storm that cuts too early and we end up with no frozen precip anyway. At this point I'd be happy with a couple inches on the front end just to get a taste.
