sandersen
I got hold of some papers from Texas Tech's Fujita library, including his Satellite and Mesoscale Research Paper on the Plainfield F5 tornado. I needed this because of the analysis of vegetation damage. I've read the heated discussions on the net about how this tornado was rated F5 based entirely on corn damage. I've never seen this paper online so thought I would share it with all interested since this approach is fascinating, but valid in my opinion. I put it on mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/?z0kpfuzxqfjconq (26 MB PDF) Note the F0-F5 graduation of corn damage, and Fujita's tidbits on his own scale, which in his own words was a windscale. I hope this will interest people as much as it did me!
