Yea I'll agree. The entire area that got slammed is in my thoughts and prayers.. This is one thing I don't mind getting shafted on.

Two of our dams seperating our lakes burst, one last night, and one today. All our lakes are now draining into the Great Egg Harbor River. Supposedly either the damn upstream at Hospitality Creek either burst, or was opened without us knowing down here, causeing what you see. Hopefully we won't lose our lakes like what happened in Medford Lakes a few years ago. And on top of it, we had a swift water rescue at the one dam break, about 2 hours ago. 17 year old kid tried to go swim in it, and ended up getting swept away, he clung to a tree until Malaga's Dive Team, and my company could pull him out.

1st pic is the dam at 3rd beach where the water rescue was, 2nd pic is the dam at 1st beach. The pics don't do it justice, it's flowing a hell of a lot faster then it looks. And a pic from NBC10 of the water rescue.

Tom, seems like we missed the brunt of that storm. Looks like maybe Ridley - woodlyn got te brunt of it. Fantastic light show from 2 merging cells. One was ctc, the other ctg.

the one coming from the se never made it here, just nicked southern delco...we got the stuff from the north which intensified... still not bad 1.33 from the rain this morn, the rain in the early aftn and now tonight.

It is absolutely amazing how the western side of the lehigh valley got less than inch of rain and surrounding areas got buckets. This mimics this past winter. I guess Parsley you got your storm - better late than never

Did you not see what's going on down here? All this damage in our area, and you're going to whine about how you got less then an inch of rain? I would gladly give you the 9-11 inches South Jersey got, and let you deal with all this damage. Hell, very good chance we're going to lose the lakes that surround my area because of it. If it was your house that had water flowing through it, like many homes in this area have been, you sure as hell wouldn't be whining you didn't get enough rain. You really should sit back, and say to yourself, I'm glad it didn't happen here.

If it gets to 8.03, that's the 2nd highest crest in history.

New update about our lakes. The one where the spillway was taken out, is going to drain completely out now. Hopefully it won't end up downstream, and flood places from here to Mays Landing. After it completely drains out, the spillway that is broken through will have to be fixed, and hopefully the lake will refill itself. It really isn't known whether it will or not. And the bad part is, it sounds like this all happened because of stupidity. The Association that runs the lakes, which we all pay dues to, didn't monitor the lake when they should have, and let the pressure build up at the dam, and boom it went. The president of the assoc. was out there today talking to the news covering her ass. Not a good situation around here at all. 3, 6, and 10 are all doing live shots at 6pm, if anybody wants to see what is happening.

What a mess! Thanks for the update. No doubt we continue the flood warning for the area. I have seen some pictures of the flooding/damage, but will definitely have to turn the TV on at 6 PM to check out the live broadcast. Stay safe!

:lmao: Yea I know, I'm on just about every single video of the rescue, on every channel. Too funny. NBC40 wanted me to do an interview, I was like eh? I've never done one before, so I sent him to my Chief, lol.

Yup, the Great Egg is still well above flood stage, and the lakes draining out into it isn't helping any either. Which that isn't going to stop until they are gone. Hopefully we'll get it back sometime next year, it's going to take a while as only a stream drains into it. I've got to drive an extra 5 minutes just to get to the firehouse, because the river is between me and it. A lot of the roads that come off the Pike, and lead towards the firehouse are closed due to flooding. And yes, I got my balls busted all day today, relentlessly, lol. Pumping out basements all day, my Captain keeps giving me the crap jobs, says I'm a huge hero now.:lmao:
