Getting pounded here in Sicklerville, NJ, flooding everywhere, and just had a pretty nasty storm come through. Not a lot of lightning, but some of the strongest winds I've seen in awhile.

Storm actually had some nice rotation at a couple different times in between me and you. Towards Monroe Twp., tried to catch the area of rotation, but the rain screwed it all up, too much precip. Two different times I saw scud racing south into the storm, completely different then the actual storm motion. And going back and looping radar, it is around the same times, that the storm had it's best rotation. If only these storms weren't so precip laden, I may have had a very nice view. Too many water rescues and houses flooded in the counties surrounding me to count at this point. And so many pending, they are going to be out all night.

Yeah, it sounds like Monroe is doing quite few water rescues on the Pike, surprised you were even able to get around.

3.46 in the dvp2 gauge...3.53 in coocorahs gauge...call it 3.5 so far.

The CoCoRaHS gage is more likely to be correct. During very heavy rain, a little rain can be missed as one of the tipping buckets moves out of the way and the other moves into position. Over time it can add up.

Took 4 hours to get home from wildwood today. South Jersey is a mess I'll have to see if i can get my video off my non smart phone cell phone and post it. Also the estimated rainfall map depicts the rain I drove through perfectly. Once we hit vineland It was like driving through a waterfall.

Got 1.6" total as of 6pm. Was in between the deluge to the south and north.

in the case of our business, less rain this storm the better. I know tomorrow we are probably going to have major washouts in bunkers. Probably won't be mowing fairways and maybe not greens either after 2.5 inches of rain.

i agree. we have a creek going through 17 and 18 that seems to flood every time we have a downpour of 1" or more. The best part is the bridges are built level with the creek bank (no arch) so they catch all the debris rather nicely.
