tombo82685
this is all going to be convective in nature. The whole region will get rain, but areas that get numerous stroms or slow moving ones like the lehigh valley tonight will get dumped on.
holostudio
Heaviest rain I can remember in a very long time here in center city Allentown, pa. The rumble from hitting so many square feet of downtown roof tops was just incredible.
chrisNJ
Good for the grass, but I hope the prone flooding areas of Easton and along 611 stay away from the deluge. BTW, it is down pouring here right now! Sounds like a bit of hail too. Heaviest rain I can remember in a very long time here in center city Allentown, pa. famartin
KDIX is underestimating precip in my neck of the woods. It says only a half inch here, but the Davis is reporting almost an inch and a half (won't empty the 4" til tonight but visual glance would appear to confirm the Davis number). KDIX also says only about an inch at the airport but the ASOS says over 2" already.

I'm content with the occasional heavy rain, closing in on an inch here.....no need for flooding. That radar just south of I-95 is mighty impressive. Pottstown's only picked up 0.16" on this...they're probably wondering what the fuss is about.

We got glanced by a few torrential downpours overnight a few miles east ot PTW, the rain woke me twice. As for the Perkiomen, after last October's 11" of rain that caused chaos around here....I'd prefer no repeat.
