earthlight
Great, John is in the jackpot zone in the winter and in the summer I would rather it be sunny than have to deal with this dreary wet garbage weather, you can have the bullseye now. earthlight
yeah, I mean he gets pumped about a rogue thunderstorm in the middle of the night the SPC WRF points out, but this he isn't? BS. Thunderstorms offer a chance of lightning, thunder, hail, winds, etc. This is moderate to heavy rain with occassional embedded thunder dragged out over 2+ days with temperatures in the 60's. Give me a 90+ degree day with a thunderstorm in the afternoon over this any day.
earthlight
I wonder how strong the winds will be with this thing. Gale warnings? If the NAM's interpretation of the surface low is correct, you can count on near 30kt winds on Long Island Monday with east winds. Sounds like trouble to me. http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/ETAPA_18z/f48.gif
earthlight
I will say this, it is cool to see a sub 1000mb surface low sitting over Long Beach Island on the models in August.

I think it's a good sign for this upcoming winter.. but what do I know. Anyway, looks like a widespread 2-3" rainfall across the entire region. Maybe a little more, especially around my locale here in NE PA.
