Its the upper level low axis moving through....prob a better chance of eastern areas getting more rain today, then yesterday. Still prob not going to have much lighting shows as yesterday. I don't have any research to support it, but speaking from personal experience seeing the noreasters in the late summer in previous years has led to good winters, 2009-2010 the most recent.
