The slow moving nature of these cells look like they will allow a few inches to fall in a relatively short period of time

Yeah still raining here in Vernon, though not as heavy as it was an hour ago.

Looks like a line of storms extending from about Trenton to extreme southern Sussex County. Should give a decent dumping in central and parts of northern NJ.

Gusted to 47 mph (41 knots) at TTN when the storms moved through here an hour and a half ago. Lots of CG but mainly to my NW near the airport. Which was fine, because I was just finishing some garden work and then... just sat out in it and got soaked ;)

Had that line of thunderstorms come through here around 3:00 while at work. Torrential rain and some lightning and thunder, and the skies out ahead of it were incredibly dark, some of the most ominous-looking skies before a storm that I've ever seen. Fortunately the bark was worse than the bite.

My rain gauge has recorded 0.28 inches today, bringing my grand total over the past two days to 4.88 inches.

Still getting pounded up here in castkills, neversink river usually a tame river looks like a monster.

I keep postponing my trip to the Poconos, was going to go yesterday but was dissuaded by the heavy rain, was going to try again today but saw the flash flood warnings along Route 17 and decided to can the whole thing until next weekend. Just too dangerous to attempt the trip through the mountains in a tiny car with such training thunderstorms.

Hearing lots of thunder here in Dobbs Ferry as I prepare my Spanish lessons, but still no rain as of yet.
