wxmeddler
Thing is crawling along too. If it doesn't start to die out might get a warning for flooding here soon. Also @Bethesda - I know that but still - it's super loud here. If I was LWX I'd issue something. This thing is starting to show multiple updraft column's (evidenced by multiple higher precip echo's and corresponding velocity convergence from BWI TDWR) The winds at 200-300 mb are evacuating the air quickly out of the top allowing more moist air to be drawn up from the bottom. Mrs.J
Leesburg looks to be getting it now. Do you all think this storm will merge with the nearly stationary one?

Well defined outflow boundary moving SW from that cell, perhaps it effects the Larger cell to the NW somehow?
WinterWxLuvr
Anybody thinking that a round 2 might be forming to the west? Also, I bet Leesburg didn't miss out this time. Somebody report in.
wxmeddler
Looks like some good Base Velocity in the Leesburg Cell *GR3 Image here* Question: Why are you using a reflectivity color table for velocity?

BethesdaWX
5-10mph ENE wind from the outflow boundary.
wxmeddler
Well defined outflow boundary moving SW from that cell, perhaps it effects the Larger cell to the NW somehow? It's called a cold pool, and it sure did have an influence in kicking things off around it.
BethesdaWX
Question: Why are you using a reflectivity color table for velocity? Its the only thing thatis working for me, I just got a blank image with a tiny X in the corner with anything else. Not sure why in hell that is. RIC_WX
Also, I bet Leesburg didn't miss out this time. Somebody report in. It's a steady soaking rain for the last several minutes but the wind seems to be making the precip appear more intense than it is. Whatever, beggars can't be choosers I just hope it holds together long enough to soak the grass. It's not as intense as the radar would lead you to believe.
