Chicago WX
54 MPH gust at WLFI. I'd say I had at least that here on the east side. Sweet storm. Unfortunately the stupid uploader on the forum won't let me post my pics. It looked like there was a bit of rotation just to the south of here and I snapped a couple of photos. Kind of a neat shot. Oh well, maybe I can post 'em tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the storm that prompted the TOR warning crapped out as it got got closer. It was getting to dark to see anything anyway.
JoMo
Storm rolled through here and scared the hell out of me. I'm definitely not the person I was before the tornado. Of course it didn't help that the weekend meteorologist on one of the TV stations kept mentioning a tornado, and showed the tower cam and a shelf cloud then suddenly a transformer exploded due to lightning or wind and he was mentioning a possible tornado and the tornado impact was 9.0. Whew....

Chatter on the WLFI blog of spotters seeing a rotating wall cloud around Dayton. That's just down the road from my place, so maybe I wasn't crazy after all. Here's one of the photos I took. Chicago WX
Last one of my crappy attempt. A little zoomed out versus the other one. I also took a video of a sweet lightning strike, unbeknownst to me. I thought I had the camera on instead of video.

Thundersnow12
I was on the road back home from NC and got blasted twice in IN on I-65, first by that bow south of LAF I believe and then further north about an hour later by another small line, vis was crazy bad and got some small hail with the second storm. IWXwx
Thanks for posting the pics guys. Don't worry about the quality. I just like to get a look at the storm's structure. It looks like that might be it for awhile for severe for us in the southern Great Lakes. Saturday's looking kind of questionable for severe right now. For here, can I make it 3 days in a row with hail?

For here, can I make it 3 days in a row with hail? You guys have gotten hit the last few days in a row. I've been amazed how crazy it has been up there, but down here (only 30 miles away) nothing severe except a few brief spurts of rain totally .51" (compared to the 1"+ for LAF). Think you might be willing to share this time?
