Glad LAF is finally getting some wx excitement. Wonder if you may also be in line for that tor warned cell to your west in IL.

Exciting indeed. Getting another big gust(s) of wind here. Pea size hail...second time in 2 days at my place. Pouring buckets. Wondering the same about that IL cell...

54 MPH gust at WLFI. I'd say I had at least that here on the east side. Sweet storm.

Unfortunately the stupid uploader on the forum won't let me post my pics. It looked like there was a bit of rotation just to the south of here and I snapped a couple of photos. Kind of a neat shot. Oh well, maybe I can post 'em tomorrow.

Look forward to seeing them. Getting reports of tree limbs down in your area on Chat. Nothing specific yet.

Meanwhile, the storm that prompted the TOR warning crapped out as it got got closer. It was getting to dark to see anything anyway.

Storm rolled through here and scared the hell out of me. I'm definitely not the person I was before the tornado.

Of course it didn't help that the weekend meteorologist on one of the TV stations kept mentioning a tornado, and showed the tower cam and a shelf cloud then suddenly a transformer exploded due to lightning or wind and he was mentioning a possible tornado and the tornado impact was 9.0.

Whew....

Chatter on the WLFI blog of spotters seeing a rotating wall cloud around Dayton. That's just down the road from my place, so maybe I wasn't crazy after all.

Here's one of the photos I took. Cell phone quality and not the best shot...my apologies.

Similar here with the wind and small hail.

Thanks for posting the pics guys. Don't worry about the quality. I just like to get a look at the storm's structure. It looks like that might be it for awhile for severe for us in the southern Great Lakes. Saturday's looking kind of questionable for severe right now.

12z SPC WRF has a line of storms too, but kicks them off a little bit later/further south in Indiana than the HRRR.

For here, can I make it 3 days in a row with hail? :guitar:

You guys have gotten hit the last few days in a row. I've been amazed how crazy it has been up there, but down here (only 30 miles away) nothing severe except a few brief spurts of rain totally .51" (compared to the 1"+ for LAF).

Think you might be willing to share this time?

Why not, though I think we could both do without the severe/damage aspects. Rainfall, yeah I'm hoping that it does you guys a little better today.

Hopefully, I do need to dig a 4ft deep hole in my backyard. So, I need the ground to get a good soaking to loosen up the clay.
