August 6-? Severe Weather

Recommended Posts

81/81 at Warsaw with moisture pooling ahead of the storms in IN. Noisy t storm starting here as I type this. No svr warning. Torrential rain.

Muggy. Just 89/72 here at 1PM.

Looks like the line of storms skirting the northern Tippy Co line are trying backbuild SW a bit.

OKK looks to be in line for some fun stuff from that line soon.

Bad time for the IND 88D to be down lol.

Gonna be a close call at LAF. It does look like it wants to build southwest, so things could get pretty exciting there over the next hour or so.

No kidding about IND's radar. :axe:

Very close call. Line on the northern fringe of the county line creeping ever so slightly ESE, as well as some stuff trying develop to the SW. We'll hope for the best. :D

33k ft tops on that new cell southeast of Fowler. Another 23k ft cell quickly growing southwest of that.

That's probably our best bet here.

Cool looking skies here, with towers going up in the western/northwestern horizon and very dark clouds to the north.

Cells dropping through the northern half of the county look pretty nice. No warnings on them, but looks like some healthy rainfall rates nonetheless.

EDIT: lol, spoke too soon. They're now warned.

Got nailed over here. Winds probably in excess of 70 mph.

Wow. Like I mentioned, got a good dose of pea size hail here...nothing extraordinary wind-wise though. Seems like reflectivity spiked here on the east side at the tail end.

EDIT: 67MPH at LAF. Wow.

Gotta be one of the strongest gusts at LAF in many years. Seems like they tend to come in lower or maybe just get missed in some cases. I think there was a 66 mph gust in 2005...

Absolutely agree.

I'm heading out to Battle Ground soon. Be interesting to see if there's any decent damage on the trek.

Also, heckuva rainfall rate at WLFI.
