CAT5ANDREW
I dont know man-- it was just as bad as the 22/24 months above normal in the early 90s. We had a cold and snowless December 1989 so I wont even count that was being "wintry" but Jan 90 and Feb 90 had to be the warmest couplet of winter months I've ever experienced and they were followed by upper 80s in the middle of March in 1990. Who needs to go south for spring break when spring break came north? lol We were all in shorts and tshirts in March back then. I agree about JAN/FEB 1990 which it was the #1 warmest couplet.I did have 4 inches here in JAN and another 5 incher in March 1990 and the winter of 1990-91 did have 25 inches here.THose years are tied for the warmest on record. Stormlover74
But you also had 90-91 that should have been an awful winter which featured very little cold, but we managed to almost have a normal snowfall year. The snow didn't stick around long and most of the storms mixed or changed to something other than snow though. 91-92 was awful and if not for the 2 March spring storms would have gone down as top 5 worst ever easily. CAT5ANDREW
My totals for the following winters:1996-97 7.9 inches,1997-98 5.0 inches,(ALL of it fell on MARCH 22nd the first day of spring)1998-99 9.5 inches 2001-02 2.9 inches. That is my record for futility here. Before this, only 1972-73 and 1988-89 failed to produce under 10 inches. As I said add o the 4 above winters ALL of them being in the TOP 10 warmest with 2001-02 being #1 and you can see why I dont ever want anything like this again.
