OBSERVATIONS SHOW TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE 90S WITH DEWPOINTS IN THE

LOW TO MID 60S...AIDING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MODERATELY UNSTABLE

AIRMASS. IN ADDITION...OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS GUIDANCE AND RUC FORECAST

SOUNDINGS INDICATE THE PRESENCE OF STEEP LOW-LEVEL LAPSE RATES AND

LARGE BOUNDARY LAYER TEMPERATURE/DEWPOINT SPREADS...FAVORABLE FOR

STRONG/SVR WIND GUSTS...IN ADDITION TO LARGE HAIL. THOUGH VERTICAL

WIND SHEAR IS NOT PARTICULARLY STRONG /I.E. EFFECTIVE BULK SHEAR

a ton of warnings over eastern pa within the bubble of 25-30+kts of effective shear. the only reason the storms formed on the island is the enhanced convergence along the seabreeze front. could happen in new jersey too. otherwise the forcing and effective shear for organized storms remains weak.

new updraft going up right over mineola. 1" hail marker.

Yea i am in the middle of it...pouring rain and thunder but i cant tell from my window if its hailing...the raindrops are huge though...and as im typing lightning right outside office...:thumbsup:

Crazy amount of thunder and lightning in that cell. Can hear it non-stop. Looks like its blowing up and I might get in the action as well soon.

last post of the day because im limited still (please change this)...constant thunder hear...pretty crazy

thanks man. insane here. hardest rain ive seen in a long time. the lightning is intense and the thunder insanely loud. looking out my window and seeing CTG all over the place...

Cloud tops look monster from here in Plainview. You can also feel the inflow into the storm, feels like a light breeze. Pretty crazy, just continually hearing thunder. I was actually in Albertson at work just before as this was cranking up. Pretty impressive for around here.

where do you work? i live in albertson...and the winds are picking up...the sky is black...its like 800 at night here...pouring...
