You returning to your mountain mansion is #3 on my "Count Down to Winter" list :wub:

Pleeeeaase let this summer end soon....lol :P

It would be an ABSOLUTE SIN not to be outside today. Low 80s 90's with low DP, low humidity, and a refreshing breeze. What more could you ask for on an August day? If only this were the norm and not the brutal heat that we endured with high DP values.

FYP ;)

Yes it was a beautiful day, even if it was still 90 degrees ^_^

I don't really know what that is but I'm glad you got one.

I also wanted to wish you well in collage. I can tell you're good a kid and will do well.:)

GRLevelX is a series of radar software programs (2, 2Analyst, and 3).

Here is the web site which tells some about the software. Also, you can download a free 21-day trial for the software.

http://www.grlevelx.com/

It's pretty neat stuff and, in addition to all the bells and whistles, it also has improved radar resolution versus what you get on the NWS site, for example.

Thanks for the good wishes. :)

Hey, Mountain Boy! I need your word that you won't hog all the snow again this winter :) Michelle up in Columbia and me down here in Griffin got shafted pretty good last winter, and we can't help but believe your hoarding behavior has gotten worse in recent years. I mean, losing inebriated ocean races with the Sea Mounties...now really,....that's old age catching up with you, lol. T

I've been to Guam, Hawaii (Oahu), California, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Pensacola, Nantuckett, Martha's Vineyard, the SC Lowcountry...but never seen beaches more natural and beautiful as the ones in the Cape Hatteras Nat'l Seashore in the area a little north and south of the Hatteras Lighthouse. It's a beach lover's dream out there.

Man, the Irene thread is a lot deader than I thought it would be. I've seen more action during the snow threats.

because, heaven forbid, you werent far off the mark with your less-than doomsday scenario. the hype for this storm was totally out of control. other than trees and power lines, and except for parts of NC, this was certainly nothing compared to the hype from JB, the media etc.

Everybody hyped this storm up. Not just the ones you mentioned

It was all about the path. That is the path they all fear. Send a cat 4 or 5 up that way, and they'll be burying folks for months and months. Probably because they hyped the cat 1 :) T
