NEGa
Thanks Sugar, I missed my southeast weather peeps. Thanks, there were a couple times I could have used your services! lmao - guess you had a REALLY good time one positive note about fall - the sun is now setting much earlier and its noticeable big time. hopefully the cooler temps will soon be following
Gastonwxman
It would be an ABSOLUTE SIN not to be outside today. Low 80s with low DP, low humidity, and a refreshing breeze. What more could you ask for on an August day? If only this were the norm and not the brutal heat that we endured with high DP values.

Also, you can download a free 21-day trial for the software. http://www.grlevelx.com/ It's pretty neat stuff and, in addition to all the bells and whistles, it also has improved radar resolution versus what you get on the NWS site, for example. Thanks for the good wishes.

dsaur
Hey, Mountain Boy! I need your word that you won't hog all the snow again this winter Michelle up in Columbia and me down here in Griffin got shafted pretty good last winter, and we can't help but believe your hoarding behavior has gotten worse in recent years. I mean, losing inebriated ocean races with the Sea Mounties...now really,....that's old age catching up with you, lol. T
griteater
I've been to Guam, Hawaii (Oahu), California, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Pensacola, Nantuckett, Martha's Vineyard, the SC Lowcountry...but never seen beaches more natural and beautiful as the ones in the Cape Hatteras Nat'l Seashore in the area a little north and south of the Hatteras Lighthouse. It's a beach lover's dream out there.
magpiemaniac
If the worst happens and a map-changing Category 4 hurricane hits the Outer Banks, I'm certain that the national headline will still be... "Tropical storm hits New York City; Thousands wet and inconvenienced."

calculus1
I almost lost it when I saw your post. Nice DMR reference. I must confess, I am not usually that clever. I've got a lot to learn to live up to the standard that jburns sets. It was a fleeting moment of genius, but I thought I would share and hopefully produce a few smiles, if nothing else. That is the path they all fear. Send a cat 4 or 5 up that way, and they'll be burying folks for months and months.
